Occupational Therapist working with multidisciplinary teams to create therapy plans at BY YOUR SIDE-Autism Therapy Services. Focused on sensory processing, executive functioning, and motor skills.
Responsibilities
Participate in an initial multidisciplinary evaluation process to help evaluate new clients.
Evaluate, create, and maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client.
Provide individual and group therapy to clients focusing on a variety of areas including but not limited to: fine and gross motor, sensory processing, feeding and social skills.
Interact with and educate caregivers on helpful therapy approaches and in-home strategies to facilitate generalization of skills.
Provide team-based, collaborative approach for therapy planning and implementation.
Maintain current Illinois license, NBCOT certification, and necessary continuing education requirements.
Adhere to the ethical standards of the profession- AOTA and ILOTA guidelines and ensure HIPAA Compliance.
Supervise support personnel COTAs/OTAs and interns when necessary.
Other Duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
State Licensed Occupational Therapist.
Must complete and maintain certification in CPI training (Will train on site).
CPR/First Aid Certified or will train on site.
Knowledge of discipline specific assessment tools and procedures
Ability to think critically, solve problems, and deliver therapy independently.
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
