About the role
- Senior DevOps Engineer working on CI/CD setup, deployment security, and database maintenance for Bundesdruckerei GmbH. Collaborating on innovative secure digital solutions in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation and configuration of CI/CD pipelines and ensuring smooth deployments
- Implementation of application and user security (LDAP, SAML2, OIDC, Keycloak)
- Deployment, operation and maintenance of databases (primarily Postgres, MariaDB)
- Deployment automation using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize and ArgoCD
- Deployment and operation of third-party tools such as GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, Argo Workflows, Superset, and others
- Installation and operation of on-premises solutions for secrets, password, repository and source code management
- Ensuring platform quality by contributing to test automation in collaboration with the Quality team
- Technical ownership for services of the private cloud platform and collaboration with architecture, project management and other teams
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or a comparable field, or vocational training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience in a similar role
- Proficient with Kubernetes manifests, Helm and Kustomize
- Basic knowledge of Ansible and Terraform
- Experienced in building and evolving CI/CD processes, particularly with regard to Day 2 operations
- Confident working with Linux environments
- Practical experience orchestrating containerized applications (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- General IT knowledge, especially operating software solutions with external cloud providers and working with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban)
- Systematic, goal-oriented and independent working style
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken (at least C1 level)
