About the role

  • Controller managing financial reports and the consolidation of financial statements. Contributing to business planning and BI tool development for a railway construction company in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing the annual financial statements of our subsidiaries and the consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare reports (P&L, balance sheet and performance metrics) for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform contribution margin calculations, site/project evaluations and cost-benefit analyses
  • Support the preparation of business and financial plans
  • Maintain master data and controlling instruments
  • Contribute to the further development of BI tools and reporting processes
  • Support the migration to a new ERP system (controlling module)

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or commercial training with further qualification as a balance sheet accountant
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in the main construction industry
  • Solid knowledge of tax law and accounting standards
  • Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel); experience with SQL, MS Dynamics and Power BI is an advantage
  • Analytical, structured and independent way of working
  • Strong team skills and a desire to actively help shape processes
