About the role
- Storage Operations Engineer managing day-to-day storage operations for enterprise environments at Broadridge. Collaborating with teams and ensuring optimal performance of storage systems with a focus on financial services.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of the Storage Area Network (SAN), including provisioning, allocation, migration, and decommissioning of storage resources.
- Perform storage-related tasks such as volume creation, LUN provisioning, and data migration.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity utilization; produce and review operational reports.
- Execute maintenance, configuration, and deployments across SAN infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with vendors for technical support, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Support incident management activities, ensuring service levels are achieved and documented appropriately.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, operational procedures, and change management activities.
- Assist in audits, patching, lifecycle refresh initiatives, and disaster recovery preparations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 3 years of experience administering and supporting large enterprise storage environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SAN/NAS technologies and enterprise-grade storage infrastructure.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly while meeting service-level commitments.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively across technical teams and vendors.
- Self-starter with strong research initiative and problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours, including weekend rotational on-call support.
