About the role
- Lead Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer at BRINC, improving reliability for innovative public safety tools. Build secure cloud infrastructure and optimize deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Own platform reliability, uptime, and on-call practices for worldwide real-time services
- Build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment systems
- Write automation and internal tooling to improve developer velocity and reduce toil
- Implement observability (metrics/logs/tracing), alerting, and incident response/postmortems
- Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost/performance optimization
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support live drone data streaming and customer workflows
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in CS or related field, with 5+ years operating production systems and building infrastructure
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; comfortable writing production-quality code (Python/Node/Javascript, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud patterns
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and safe release processes
- Excellent attention to detail around security, scalability, and performance
