About the role

  • Build and evolve modern React applications that sit at the heart of how our customers interact with Board Intelligence.
  • Contribute to the design and structure of our frontend architecture and component library.
  • Play a key role in delivering new product features that support our long term strategy.
  • Shape how we think about performance, scalability and frontend excellence.
  • Work across teams to integrate new services and ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using React, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
  • Implement responsive and accessible interfaces that work across devices.
  • Write tests to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a supportive and growth minded engineering culture.
  • Stay current with frontend best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of commercial experience with React.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience building responsive layouts and working with CSS frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CSS in JS approaches and the trade-offs involved.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
  • A good understanding of accessibility standards and how to apply them.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous code.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
  • Experience contributing to design systems or component libraries (Nice to haves).
  • Knowledge of state management tools such as Zustand, Recoil or Redux (Nice to haves).
  • An understanding of performance optimisation techniques (Nice to haves).
  • Familiarity with build tools and continuous integration or continuous delivery workflows (Nice to haves).
  • Some experience with backend development (Nice to haves).
  • Experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing (Nice to haves).
