- Cybersecurity Analyst at BlueCat improving security across teams like Engineering, Sales, and Legal. Supporting product compliance and security-related inquiries to safeguard systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess CVE reports; recommend mitigations, workarounds, and remediation steps
- Support ongoing governance and compliance
- Contribute to the security hardening of BlueCat products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Compliance teams
- Support product penetration testing by maintaining target systems
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux systems
- Ability to understand code in languages such as Java or C is required
- Understanding of software architectures, data-flows, and data-protection principles
- Strong understanding of software development practices
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Shell, Python)
- Excellent communication skills—both technical and non-technical
- Solid understanding of IP networking and protocols (e.g., IPv4/6, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with higher-layer protocols and security architectures (e.g., TLS, SSH)
- Knowledge of compliance domains such as SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR
