Professional Services Team Lead at blueAPACHE guiding Systems Engineers across cloud and on-premises environments. Driving delivery excellence and technical standards in diverse projects.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a team of high-performing Systems Engineers across multiple geographies within the Professional Services and Portfolio Engineering functions.
Work with the Project Management Team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and to defined standards, aligning with design documentation, Statements of Work and blueAPACHE delivery frameworks.
Given the project delivery process (from the perspective of the engineers) ensuring all required artefacts (such as design and planning documents, test plans, UAT, as-builts, delivery checklists, etc) meet defined quality benchmarks
Act as the technical escalation point for the Systems delivery stream, guiding engineers through complex challenges and architectural decision-marking
Champion technical excellence and standardisation across infrastructure design, build and handover processes
Work closely with Project Managers, Project Co-ordinators, and Service Delivery to ensure seamless client outcomes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery efficiency, automation, and documentation quality
Provide regular reporting on team performance, utilisation and project delivery metrics
Collaborate with peers across Cloud, Networking and End User Services practices to ensure cross-practice consistency and capability uplift **
Requirements
5 + years leading or mentoring skilled Systems Engineers across Wintel, VMware, and M365 environments, or **4+ years as a senior systems project engineer within an integrator or consulting environment, ready to step into leadership
Proven expertise across infrastructure technologies include Microsoft/Azure, VMWare and Citrix (or equivalents)
Strong understanding of solution design principles, delivery lifecycle management and operational readiness
Experience within a Managed Services Provider or Professional Consulting Services organisation
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical outcomes into business value
Demonstrated commitment to documentation, quality assurance, and delivery governance
Exposure to automation, scripting or infrastructure-as-code approaches (Powershell, Intune, etc)
Certifications in Microsoft, VMWare or Azure platforms
Understanding of ITIL and service transition practices
