About the role
- BI Platform Engineer maintaining IBM Planning Analytics environments in Munich or Düsseldorf. Collaborating with BI consultants and focusing on system stability and automation.
Responsibilities
- You install, configure and operate our IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) environments on Windows and Linux servers.
- You are responsible for the technical operation of the TM1 Server, TM1 Web and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), including user management, monitoring and maintenance.
- You take care of updates, patches and securing the systems (e.g. authentication, certificates, encryption).
- You work closely with our BI consultants.
- You analyze incidents and performance issues, find sustainable solutions and document your changes.
- You support the setup and operation of cloud environments (e.g. in Azure) and contribute ideas for automation and standardization.
Requirements
- Experience administering Windows or Linux servers (ideally both).
- Practical experience operating applications on servers (e.g. databases, BI/analytics systems or similar).
- Basic knowledge of working with databases and SQL (reading and writing).
- Initial experience with a scripting language (e.g. PowerShell, Batch or Shell) to automate recurring tasks.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Ideally prior exposure to IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) or a strong motivation to learn it in depth.
- Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills.
- Nice-to-have, but not required: experience with technologies such as Docker, single sign-on and certificates.
