About the role

- Guide team on best approaches to work spanning multiple components

- Lead reviews of changes and generate alternative solutions to problems
- Continually improve monitoring and alerting of TLAs
- Identify areas of technical risk and communicate with relevant managers
Requirements
- Extensive experience with technologies such as Java, application servers (Tomcat, Jetty), http, event streaming (Kafka) and build tools (e.g. Maven)
- Good knowledge of secure coding and best practices
- Familiar with multiple software development methodologies
- Ability to guide the team on the best approach to large pieces of work
- Able to debug applications and support and mentor junior colleagues
- Create and confirm clear requirements with stakeholders
