About the role
- Engineering Manager leading Platform Engineering teams in Cluj-Napoca to deliver optimized AWS-Managed container platforms. Driving projects and mentoring engineers for high-performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of platform engineers to deliver an optimised AWS-Managed container platform on UKI Infrastructure & Platforms
- Managing the performance of your team members, ensuring they understand the expectations of their role, supporting the personal development of your team members to grow them in their role, and enhance their skills
- Managing the delivery of strategic projects and developer experience features, working with our Agile Delivery Lead, through agile methodologies and ceremonies
- Engaging with key stakeholders and consumers to ensure we deliver what’s important to Flutter UKI
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams, ideally within Infrastructure, platform, or cloud domains
- Demonstrated experience driving complex cloud initiatives from design to delivery
- Strong people leadership background - skilled in building, motivating and developing high-performing teams
- A leader of people and a mentor to engineers within your squad, you should be on point for advice and guidance
- You should be a team player who works collaboratively to achieve the goals of the squad
- Work with your peer Engineering Managers to ensure resourcing, priority and delivery commitments are aligned
