About the role

  • Associate Product Owner Manager leading Product Owners for Flutter UKI. Overseeing product delivery and team development in an innovative gaming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring Product Owners, helping build their confidence, skills, and delivery consistency.
  • Skilled at assessing team maturity in areas such as agile practices, backlog health, and delivery predictability, and implementing structures that support growth.
  • Balances strategic oversight with empowering POs to take full ownership of their domains.
  • Proficient in evaluating backlog quality, ensuring clarity of stories, alignment to value, effective dependency management, and readiness for development.
  • Capable of aligning competing priorities—such as regulatory, operational, supplier, and commercial needs—into a clear, agreed prioritisation framework.
  • Adept at translating complex technical or platform-related work into clear, outcome-focused updates for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Builds stakeholder trust through transparent communication, tangible delivery evidence, and proactive risk management.
  • Clearly articulates and communicates the value delivered by the platform tribe, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Actively contributes to improving cross-tribe collaboration and embedding best practices across multiple teams.
  • Promotes a culture of feedback and continuous improvement, supported by coaching and regular stakeholder feedback loops.
  • Confident leading in a technical environment, with enough understanding of APIs, integrations, and platform architecture to guide discussions and ask the right questions without being hands-on.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Prior Product Delivery, Product Management & People Management experience
  • Eye for continuous improvement needs and frameworks to enable improvement
  • Experience working in software delivery and understanding the delivery process
  • Ability to engage with and get the best out of people in teams
  • Ability to work through a large set of unknowns and translate them into effective plans
  • Experience of leading teams (or virtual teams) and developing talent
  • Knowledge of gaming products and technology environments that enable these products
  • Experience working in Product Engineering domains in analysis, delivery, product lifecycle and support of products and capabilities
  • Ability to ideate and create solutions that address challenges and opportunities for our customers
  • Ability to work through a large set of unknowns and translate them into Product, Process or Tech requirements
  • Ability to formulate and communicate strategy
  • Experience of leading teams, coaching and developing talent
