About the role
- Energy Systems Analyst assessing building mechanical and electrical systems through technical surveys and analyses. Collaborate with teams for energy efficiency and compliance on assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Assess building mechanical and electrical systems while performing technical on site surveys and in office analysis on assigned projects
- Conduct site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager
- Assist in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope
- Perform mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc.
- Interact in meetings with internal company members as related to the project deliverables
- Review and analyze the designs and prepared drawings for mechanical systems for projects including duct and pipe sizing with assistance from senior level staff
- Assist the development team in the coordination with other disciplines including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc.
- Attend in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems
- Participate in industry organizations and attend events, meetings, and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four year ABET accredited university
- 1-3 years of experience
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude
- Required experience in Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey
- Passion for quality and client satisfaction
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
