About the role

  • Account Manager coordinating accounting team activities in Valenciennes as part of an independent firm. Ensuring compliance and producing financial statements for a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the accounting team
  • Maintain client accounting records (balance sheet, tax package / liasse fiscale)
  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns
  • Participate in year-end closing and the preparation of management reports
  • Ensure accounting operations comply with current standards and regulations
  • Perform financial analyses and recommend optimization measures
  • Manage relationships with external partners (statutory auditors, tax authorities, etc.)
  • Monitor regulatory developments and anticipate changes in tax regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum: Bac+2 (equivalent to a two-year post-secondary diploma) in Accounting
  • 3–5 years' experience as an accounting associate in a firm or in a chef de mission role (junior to mid-level)
  • Good knowledge of accounting and tax standards
  • Ability to supervise and manage an accounting team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
