About the role

  • Accountant supporting finance functions at BC Parks Foundation in Vancouver. Responsible for accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • The Accountant supports the Finance team and the organization by ensuring that financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly
  • Contributes to month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assists with reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Ensures strong internal controls and organized financial recordkeeping
  • Processes accounts payable invoices and prepares vendor payments
  • Assists in processing accounts receivable transactions
  • Performs monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assists with providing information to auditors for year-end audit

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle accounting role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Acumatica is an asset) and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with non-profit accounting is an asset
