About the role

  • Business Analyst collaborating with clients to build innovative solutions. Engaging closely with Product Owners to translate requirements into actionable User Stories in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, structure, and refine requirements (e.g., through interviews, workshops, use cases, story mapping)
  • Write clear, actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
  • Support the client's Product Owner with prioritization, backlog maintenance, and preparation of refinements
  • Model and evolve business processes (BPMN, EPK) including quality and consistency checks
  • Facilitate workshops, present results, and act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team
  • Contribute to internal topics such as process optimization, knowledge transfer, and the expansion of the skills matrix

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in agile software projects
  • Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, including methods and modeling (UML 2.x, ERM/SERM, OOA)
  • Practical experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and optionally modeling tools (e.g., Innovator)
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, precise way of working
  • Confident presence, strong facilitation skills, and enjoyment of communication
  • High flexibility and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new client environments
  • Fluent German (C1), as many client requirements are in German
  • Nice-to-have: experience with the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit)
  • Current security clearance or willingness to undergo one
  • Knowledge of quality assurance for functional concepts, testing/acceptance procedures, MDA, and software architecture
