About the role
- Responsable Ingénierie Solaire et BESS pour BayWa r.e., gérant projets solaires et stockage. Évaluation technique, conception, apport d'expertise auprès des équipes projet.
Responsibilities
- Management of the solar and storage engineering team/department
- Technical assessment of solar and storage project sites
- Technical design of photovoltaic and storage projects
- Support development, project management and construction teams on technical innovations related to solar and storage projects
- Onboarding, training and mentoring of solar and BESS engineering team members in France
- Design of solar and storage projects
- Perform technical assessments as part of due diligence
- Liaison with external consultants (geotechnical engineers, hydrologists, acousticians, etc.) for project design
- Act as the technical interface for project managers, construction and procurement teams
- Maintain technological and regulatory monitoring
- Participate in (and lead where appropriate) working groups of relevant producer associations for the solar and storage engineering team
- Attend trade shows related to solar and/or electrical engineering
- Facilitate exchanges with the group, notably via the EMEA Solar Engineering and EMEA BESS teams
- Organize and manage responses to requests from other departments (solar development, project management, construction, grid connection, operations/services, etc.)

Requirements
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in engineering or electrical engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in photovoltaic engineering
- Valid driver’s license (category B)
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVcase and PVSyst
- Excellent command of French
- Fluent written and spoken English
