About the role

  • Operations Manager overseeing facilities management for Ireland's largest construction projects. Collaborating with clients to ensure service excellence across multiple long term contracts nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Technical input for new tenders and business development opportunities.
  • Preparing, Reviewing, Monitoring and approving Client Services Reports.
  • Supporting the FM teams in the delivery of all Services.
  • People management, addressing HR queries and liaising with HR as required.
  • Carry out routine inspections and audits in line with audit plan.
  • Check compliance with safety, quality, environmental and commercial procedures.
  • Performance Development of Facility Managers and monitoring compliance with the performance development programme for operations team including caretakers and cleaners.
  • Monitoring and ensuring FM teams have a planned approach to activities (minimise reactive approach).
  • Negotiate and monitor Sub-Contracts.
  • Communicate all updates to procedures to FM team and ensure implemented.
  • Host quarterly HSEQ meetings within your region.
  • Manage the delivery of new technology in facilities within your region.
  • Management of services to ensure they are carried out in accordance with: Statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Health and safety requirements.
  • Applicable standard and codes of practice.
  • Contract requirements.
  • Good commercial practice.
  • Quality & asset management plan.
  • Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role within the service industry.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills with contractual knowledge.
  • Proven experience in FM industry covering hard and soft services with a technical background being advantageous.
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards.
  • Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience in project management.
