About the role
- Digital Construction Engineer managing project information models and implementing digital processes for BAM’s construction projects. Ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and collaborating with project teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project information model for sharing with the project team and authorising with the client team.
- Ensure the project/contracts standard methods and procedures align with BAM’s ISO 19650 protocols.
- Ensure model coordination and mobilisation plan are in place and carry out regular reviews.
- Ensure that all parties are using the CDE in the agreed manner, as described in the BAM information protocol.
- Ensure that the building information model meets the required data quality and the correct level of information need is delivered.
- Manage the creation of the project information model and review the quality of data produced from the task teams.
- Lead the implementation of digital processes on projects/contracts in all stages of the asset lifecycle as required.
- Establish compliant work flows in accordance with Client requirements and BAM’s information protocol.
- Contribute to the development of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
- Collaborate with IT to ensure that digital systems and working methods are fit for purpose and efficient.
- Understand the technical challenges users face with respect to application or tool usage, and quickly resolve issues.
- Contribute to and maintain the BIM execution plan (BEP).
Requirements
- Working knowledge of ISO19650
- 3-5 years' experience in digital construction / digital facilities management, familiar with industry and tendering processes.
- Higher education in construction or related fields, or equivalent experience.
