About the role

  • Instructional Designer developing sales education programs for Baker Tilly, integrating best practices and assessing effectiveness. Leading curriculum development and training initiatives within a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement structured learning paths for Baker Tilly business developers and principals.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive approach to assess sales knowledge and skills, identify gaps and track improvement.
  • Develop engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, presentations, and blended learning programs (self-study, virtual, and in-person).
  • Incorporate best practices from leading sales methodologies into training programs and enablement content.
  • Establish clear learning objectives, create project plans, and manage a rolling curriculum calendar for continuous learning opportunities.
  • Select methods and technologies that maximize relevance, retention, and learner engagement for remote-first environments.
  • Enhance sales enablement platforms (e.g., Highspot) with learning resources, messaging guides, discovery questions, objection handling, and sales plays.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of business development-related learning initiatives using data-driven insights.
  • Analyze learner feedback and performance data to refine curriculum and improve learning outcomes.
  • Develop communication plans and content to ensure visibility and adoption of enablement programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years in instructional design, preferably in sales enablement or corporate training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ideally with experience as a content creator or facilitator.
  • Experience creating skill assessments and competency frameworks.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Systematic Learning, Bob Pike).
  • Experience leading train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in measuring training effectiveness and ROI.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), sales methodologies (Challenger, SPIN), and remote learning strategies.
