Licensed Aircraft Engineer maintaining aircraft at Babcock supporting critical defense missions. Working in a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and compliance in military aviation.
Responsibilities
Carrying out aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance to ensure serviceable, safe aircraft.
Performing release‑to‑service responsibilities in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.
Providing clear technical guidance to technicians and inspectors during maintenance activities.
Supporting both Babcock and client stakeholders with technical insight and problem‑solving.
Completing engineering documentation, ensuring standards, compliance and accuracy at all times.
Requirements
Proven problem‑solving and analytical capability within an engineering environment.
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and customers.
Ability to prioritise, simplify complexity and use sound judgement in operational decisions.
Knowledge of composite materials and MoD engineering procedures/documentation.
EASA Part 66 B1 licence.
Supervisory experience in a civil or military aviation environment.
Ability to demonstrate required practical and theoretical engineering standards.
Full UK driving licence.
(Desirable) Type rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines.
