About the role
- Software Engineer at Axians working on modern software architectures and microservices in a hybrid environment. Collaborating with teams to innovate and enhance business applications in the DACH region.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementation of modern software architectures
- Development of new microservices (based on the Quarkus framework)
- Maintenance of legacy projects (Java EE, Jakarta EE, Quarkus)
- Documentation of implemented changes
- Writing automated tests
- Reviewing code changes created by team members
Requirements
- Degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, etc.)
- Strong programming skills in Java in an enterprise environment (preferably Java EE / Jakarta EE)
- At least 2 years of professional experience
- Committed to working according to engineering best practices and the state of the art (development processes, documentation, testing, code reviews, security)
- Familiar with development IDEs (preferably IntelliJ IDEA), source code management (preferably git), command-line tools and containerization (Docker, Podman)
- Very good German and English skills
