About the role

  • Head of Engineering leading and developing teams in the Technology & Data business unit. Responsible for technical direction, recruiting, and organizational processes within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for our development teams, currently around 60 employees
  • Lead, coach, and develop Tech Leads and their teams
  • Define the company’s technical direction and standards in close collaboration with our Tech Leads
  • Support Tech Leads with administrative and organizational tasks
  • Responsible for recruiting and onboarding new talent
  • Conduct and organize employee reviews and development plans
  • Support team development initiatives and culture-building activities
  • Resource planning and project allocation in close coordination with Tech Leads and project managers
  • Optimize processes related to teamwork and collaboration
  • Ensure quality and reliability
  • Budget planning and control for personnel and development initiatives
  • Reporting and monitoring of relevant KPIs in project controlling and business areas (e.g., resource utilization, budget variances, forecasts)
  • Close collaboration and interface between executive management, Tech Leads, HR, and Sales/Project Management

Requirements

  • Several years of leadership experience in a comparable role, ideally in an agency environment
  • Strong skills in people management, team development, and coaching
  • Experience in recruiting, HR processes, and organizational team management
  • Confident handling of budget planning, controlling, and reporting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across interfaces with executive management, HR, Sales, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in e‑commerce and an understanding of software development and project work
  • Hands-on mentality, strategic foresight, and enthusiasm for organizational and process development
