About the role
- External Reporting Sr. Analyst preparing Autodesk's SEC filings including Forms 10Q and 10K. Responsible for financial statement preparation and assisting with regulatory reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and tie-out of financial statements, including balance sheet, statement of operations, statement of cash flows
- Preparation of interim and annual financial reporting disclosure checklists
- Review and tie-out of quarterly earnings release documents
- Prepare/update supporting schedules for the tie-out of financial statements, MD&A, and footnote disclosures for SEC filings
- Coordinate with personnel from other departments to gather, consolidate and analyze financial information
- Provide assistance to the external auditors in their quarterly review and annual audit
- Perform annual (or interim as applicable) impairment assessments of goodwill
- Assist in the identification and implementation of new accounting or reporting standards
- Assist technical accounting in researching US GAAP issues, implementing new accounting standards
- Assist with growing regulatory reporting needs for Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG)
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience within public accounting
- Experience working with public companies or within the software industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field
- Licensed CPA or actively pursuing completion of CPA licensing preferred
- Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
- A solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Workiva filing experience or similar platform a plus
