About the role
- Project Design Manager overseeing project delivery from design to construction review at Aurecon. Leading a large team and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines in building projects.
Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for delivery of projects from initial design to construction and review
- Be the point of contact for the client team on project matters
- Lead a large project design team and coordinate the work with multi-disciplinary engineers
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity
- Produce design documentation including drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Chair internal and external meetings
- Manage projects or components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, and client feedback
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and develop business opportunities
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience in Buildings Mechanical or Electrical Design
- Data Centre Experience preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices
- High level of computer literacy and exposure to BIM / Revit
- Literacy in the use of digital tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Naviswork, BIM360
- Strong ability in navigating 3D BIM model and resolving design issues
