Software Engineer Systems managing Windows Server lifecycle in hybrid environments. Collaborating with teams to automate processes and develop AI solutions for IT operations.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for the stable operation, lifecycle management and continuous development of the Azure Arc agent for our large-scale Windows Server landscape in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
You automate central operational processes such as patch management, compliance checks and agent rollouts, reducing manual effort through standardization, scripting and reusable operational building blocks.
You analyze ticket, monitoring and log data, identify recurring error patterns and derive automated countermeasures as well as self-healing mechanisms.
You develop and integrate AI-assisted assistant and bot solutions to support IT operations, for example for ticket classification, incident analysis and providing proposed solutions.
You work across locations and departments with cloud, security and operations teams and integrate Azure Arc–based operational models into existing release, change and approval processes.
Requirements
You hold a degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification, plus several years of relevant professional experience in IT operations.
You have solid knowledge of operating Windows Server environments and hybrid IT architectures and practical experience with Azure-based platform and operational models.
You possess very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure, in particular Azure Arc, Azure Monitor and update management features, and use PowerShell confidently for automation.
Ideally, you have experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
You have business-fluent German (at least C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level).
You work in a structured, analytical and solution-oriented manner and apply methodical approaches to the sustainable improvement of operational processes.
You are team-oriented, strong in communication, responsible, eager to learn, quality-conscious and able to work independently.
