About the role

• Senior Resident Engineer overseeing water and wastewater infrastructure projects for Uisce Éireann in Ireland. Ensuring successful project delivery through leadership, compliance, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Ensure works are carried out in line with contract documents and specifications, including rigorous testing and quality assurance.
• Implement and monitor Uisce Éireann safety policies, review HSQE documentation (RAMS, TMP), and conduct weekly site safety reviews.
• Act as the main point of contact for Uisce Éireann, project managers, and contractors, providing clear updates and resolving issues promptly.
• Report and manage incidents, assist in investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Monitor workmanship and materials to meet required standards, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Proven experience administering Public Works and FIDIC contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Ability to review technical documentation, monitor quality standards, and oversee compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
