About the role
- Senior Resident Engineer overseeing water and wastewater infrastructure projects for Uisce Éireann in Ireland. Ensuring successful project delivery through leadership, compliance, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure works are carried out in line with contract documents and specifications, including rigorous testing and quality assurance.
- Implement and monitor Uisce Éireann safety policies, review HSQE documentation (RAMS, TMP), and conduct weekly site safety reviews.
- Act as the main point of contact for Uisce Éireann, project managers, and contractors, providing clear updates and resolving issues promptly.
- Report and manage incidents, assist in investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitor workmanship and materials to meet required standards, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Proven experience administering Public Works and FIDIC contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to review technical documentation, monitor quality standards, and oversee compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
