About the role
- Senior Financial Analyst to conduct financial analysis and support strategic growth for Valsoft software companies. Collaborating with leadership to provide accurate insights and forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of financial statements, including the income statements and balance sheets for each division.
- Ensure all financial information is accurate, consistent, and compliant with accounting principles and applicable regulations.
- Participate in audit engagements and compliance activities, including the transition to IFRS standards.
- Month-end journal entries and allocations.
- Management of accounts payable accruals and the allowance for doubtful accounts (AFDA) for uncollectible receivables.
- Preparation of payroll reports and tax/transfer pricing journal entries.
- Income statement analysis and preparation of financial statements.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis by comparing actual results to budgeted figures and providing variance analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (transactional and reporting modules) is considered an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills and proven data analysis capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, data visualization).
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
