About the role

  • Senior Art Director leading design and creativity for Asahi's in-house agency supporting global brands. Driving innovative ideas and creative excellence in brand design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and ideation end to end, from brief to delivery.
  • Set the standards for craft excellence, create scalable design systems and ensure every asset is on brand, on time and optimised for performance.
  • Line manage and mentor designers, direct external partners and collaborate with copywriters and motion designers to deliver ideas that raise creative quality, speed to market and cost effectiveness.
  • Own end to end design quality for Poland, from concept to final artwork.
  • Set the visual direction on priority briefs, ensure adherence to brand, legal and Creativity Spectrum standards and sign off final files for production.
  • Define, document and govern standards, libraries, templates and reusable assets in Adobe CC, enabling scale across brands and channels.
  • Maintain version control and file hygiene.
  • Partner with Senior Creative Lead, Copy, Digital to originate integrated ideas.
  • Provide art direction across photography, illustration, motion and CGI, commissioning and guiding specialists as needed.
  • Scope work with Client Services and Studio, plan resources, brief and direct freelancers and partners.
  • Balance quality, speed and cost using data and retrospectives.
  • Oversee spec setting, colour management, accessibility and pre-press for print, and best practice for digital performance formats.
  • Ensure accurate trafficking, naming and asset delivery to DAM and channels.
  • Scan platforms and tools, introduce relevant innovation such as modular design, automation and new content types.
  • Champion accessibility, sustainability considerations and legal compliance in design.
  • Stay current on craft, platforms, and technology, bring relevant innovation into daily practice.

Requirements

  • 6 plus years in an in-house or agency environment with a strong portfolio in brand design and ideation.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates award level conceptual thinking, brand design craft, and platform ideas that scale.
  • Proven experience working across a variety of media including social, digital and ATL
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud, confident with file hygiene and version control.
  • Strong art direction skills across photography, illustration, and motion, working with specialists as needed.
  • Solid knowledge of production for print and digital, colour management, pre press, and spec setting.
  • Experience leading designers, giving clear feedback, and growing capability.
  • Comfortable directing external partners and freelancers to a high standard.
  • Practical understanding of performance needs for social and digital formats.
  • Strong stakeholder skills, able to simplify choices and influence decisions.
  • Polish and English fluency, both written and spoken.
  • A strong portfolio is essential. Applications without one will not be considered.
