About the role
- Data Analyst role in a growing team, enhancing data processes and supporting investment decisions for a real estate company in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Application support & maintenance: You are the primary contact for our central calculation and valuation applications that are essential for investment decisions. You support the business units in using these tools and ensure data integrity.
- Process automation: In parallel, you identify manual processes related to reporting and automate them using Python scripts or Power Query to make the work more efficient.
- Data quality & management: You are the "guardian of the data." You clean datasets, check data flows for errors, and assist in managing our central databases.
- Reporting & analysis: You create and update dashboards (Power BI) and reports that serve as a decision-making basis for our asset and investment managers.
- Interface management: You monitor the data exchange with external service providers. If an interface fails, you analyze the issue technically and resolve it.
Requirements
- Completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical qualification.
- Python: You have solid practical experience (e.g., Pandas/Spark). You prefer writing scripts yourself rather than copying things manually.
- Excel & SQL: You have very advanced Excel skills (for complex financial models) and are proficient in SQL for database queries.
- You think analytically and maintain a structured approach.
- You have the patience to work through existing complex logic and the drive to improve it over the long term.
- You are a team player, fluent in German (C1 level) and possess good English skills. You can explain your technical solutions clearly to non-technical colleagues.
