Responsibilities
- Gathers business requirements and translates them into functional and technical requirements within the appropriate application systems.
- Serves as a technical liaison between the IT enterprise business solutions development team and the business community.
- Ensures functionality, user acceptance and effective implementation of changes to solve problems, achieve business requirements and improve system performance.
- Assists in the design of new projects and programs by evaluating current practices.
- Assists with developing test scripts, executing test plans and maintaining test cases to assess system functionality and ensure user acceptance testing.
- Collaborates with various internal departments, external customers, and leadership to obtain cross functional team consensus on the interpretation of business requirements and needs.
- Conducts training of new procedures, system modifications and system releases upon request.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Management or related field.
- In lieu of degree, five (5) years' health related non-clerical experience with an insurance, managed care, healthcare or technology related organization will be considered in addition to the experience requirements listed below.
- Minimum three (3) years' business systems analysis experience with a complex system technology OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum one (1) years' experience.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance technology systems such as claims processing, marketing, membership, enrollment, customer service, financial and provider systems.
