About the role
- Project Manager II supporting NASA’s multimedia and technical communications services at the Marshall Space Flight Center. Overseeing AV projects and collaborating with key stakeholders to meet project goals.
Responsibilities
- Help develop detailed plans, define scope, set goals, and translate vision into actionable tasks
- Leverages subject matter expertise (SME) to better enable NASA’s enterprise approach providing collaboration services by evaluating conference room Audio Visual (AV) hardware and software
- Partners with key stakeholders throughout all phases of AV projects ensuring requirements, goals, milestones, and deliverables are defined and ultimately achieved
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project technical documentation including lessons learned
- Assists in the development of NASA project roadmaps, accurately documents conference room AV requirements, and identifies project risks to ensure stakeholder needs are met
- Serves as the liaison between the team, vendors and functional management for all project-related communication and provide regular status updates and reports
- Maintains awareness of multiple projects throughout all phases and prepare executive summaries
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, identifying areas for process and service delivery improvements to better enable stakeholders to make data driven decisions
- Maintain awareness on emerging AV technologies and best practices through monitoring industry manufacturers and technical publications
- Commit to continuous professional development to ensure technical expertise remains at the forefront of the industry
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in any field
- 5 years of relevant experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 2+ years of A/V industry experience
- Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of A/V industry experience
- Proficient in Power BI and Microsoft Planner
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with QSYS and/or Crestron
- QSYS Level 1 Certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune
- AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I Certificate
