Responsibilities
Carry out a range of activities to support the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
Typically assigned to provide a substantial technical role for a single discipline on smaller, less complex tasks or elements of more extensive, less complicated tasks within a project.
Stakeholder management and ensuring the design is based on project standards and code requirements.
Coordinate with Client, Region and other GECs activities required to produce engineering deliverables.
Can be assigned to a Task Management role.
Conduct training and guidance to junior team members.
Develop industry knowledge of international design standards through internal technical training, certifications and continuing education.
Lead a team on a project.
Automate design process and workflows.
Ensure correctness and quality of project deliverables.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
A Masters degree is an advantage.
Possess a license in Civil Engineering preferred
Working towards Charterships with International Institutes in regions such as the UK, US, Canada or Australia is an advantage.
Have a minimum of 2 or 6 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Have experience working in a design consultancy firm.
Proficient in using engineering software like: SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RISA, Robot, TEDDS, Tekla Structures, or SCIA.
Knowledge in Revit and Navisworks is an advantage.
Proficient in the application of international design standards: US, Canada, UK&I, European and Australian experience is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Programming knowledge using C++, Python, Dynamo is an advantage.
