About the role
- Transmission & Distribution Engineer at Arcadis focusing on sustainable energy networks. Collaborating to develop technical solutions for electricity networks in the Netherlands and abroad.
Responsibilities
- Develop and elaborate technical designs and engineering deliverables for transmission and distribution projects (such as substations, cable, and overhead line connections).
- Serve as the technical point of contact for clients throughout the entire project, from initial contact to delivery.
- Conduct studies and preparatory work, including feasibility assessments, earthing calculations, field and transient studies.
- Coordinate with (CAD) engineers and external parties to deliver safe, cost-effective, and innovative solutions.
- Prepare reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from various (international) teams.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and the application of new technologies.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and foster an open, inclusive working atmosphere.
Requirements
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- Affinity or/and experience with the field of transmission and distribution and associated technologies.
- Experience with the design or engineering of high and/or medium voltage installations (such as substations, primary and/or secondary systems).
- Familiarity with relevant software tools (such as Revit, AutoCAD, Elcad, Primtech, PS CAD) is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and results-oriented.
- Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage; good command of English is required.
