About the role

  • Intern with APL Logistics assisting the Communication team on SharePoint migration and internal communication projects. Exposure to global teams and various tools in the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize site look & feel. Help implement SharePoint page templates, navigation conventions (hub/quick‑launch), and metadata/term store tags so departmental content is discoverable and branded consistently.
  • Support the SharePoint migration as a project coordinator. Help inventory department sites, track tasks/milestones, update status, and chase blockers across global time zones; partner with site owners and content owners to prep content for migration and post‑go‑live clean‑up.
  • Design internal communication pieces. Draft news posts and announcements.
  • Create reusable content assets. Produce on‑brand banners, infographics, short videos, and presentation slides to support communication messages.
  • Contribute to training & onboarding. Draft quick‑start guides, short how‑to videos, and cheat sheets for new site owners and contributors.
  • Measure adoption and engagement. Track basic SharePoint/communications metrics (news views, asset downloads, email click‑through, time‑to‑publish), summarize insights, and recommend tweaks to content/design cadence.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally and globally.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, approachable, professional tone.
  • Organization and project coordination. Able to manage task lists, follow up with stakeholders, capture decisions, and keep workstreams moving across time zones.
  • Design curiosity. Interest in learning design tools for email banners, micro‑videos, and presentation assets, with attention to brand consistency and accessibility.

  • Preferred Juniors and Seniors graduating between May 2026 and May 2027 pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred Master’s students in the relevant field graduating between May 2026 and May 2027
  • Preferred Marketing, Communications, and/or Project Management focus
  • SharePoint experience or eagerness to learn SharePoint site/news publishing.
  • Digital communication fluency. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Monday.com and Canva are a plus.

Benefits

  • one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs each calendar yr.
