About the role
- Senior Financial Analyst supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling at American Public Education, Inc. Joining the Financial Planning & Analysis team to provide insights for strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the annual operating budget
- Support monthly forecasting processes, financial modeling, and variance analysis
- Prepare regular reporting packages and performance dashboards

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related area
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related function
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling, analytics)
- Strong PowerPoint ability (executive-ready presentations)
- Hands-on experience with BI, ERP or financial reporting systems
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
