About the role

  • RCM Engineer at Anglian Water investigating equipment failures and creating maintenance strategies. Flexibility to work from home and various office locations in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Root cause Analysis Manager, you will be part of team who undertake RCM studies against recognised approaches or standards for Anglian Water’s asset portfolio based on initial risk assessments.
  • The role will investigate mainly rotational equipment failures and tasks which include a wide range of options including Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Predictive Testing & Inspection (PT&I), Repair (Reactive Maintenance) and Preventative Maintenance techniques including Condition Based Maintenance in an integrated manner.
  • The RCM engineer will utilise data from our enterprise-wide asset life cycle system to help improve the equipment availability, performance and asset health, through the use of a Reliability Centred Maintenance approach for critical assets, alongside root cause analysis investigations.
  • Working as part of the Asset maintenance & Performance Team the role will have a regional focus covering over 6000 sites and 300,000 items of equipment.
  • The job holder will implement a systematic approach to define a routine maintenance program composed of cost-effective tasks that preserve important functions of the asset.
  • The RCM will then be used to create a cost-effective maintenance strategy to address dominant causes of equipment failure.

Requirements

  • Suitable Technical experience in Plant Maintenance, Operations and Support Services or Engineering and Rotating Equipment background or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in utilities and/or Oil & Gas operational maintenance and development of maintenance strategies
  • Experience in the application of RCA, FMECA
  • Experience of equipment from a design, maintenance, or operational perspective.
  • Experience in various Reliability Analysis Techniques (Weibull analysis, Reliability growth, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Safety Management – including Permit to Work, Hazard & Risk Assessment, Environmental Protection and basic HSE regulations.
