About the role
- Site Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for maintaining quality assurance on hydroelectric projects. Working with teams to monitor installations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Andritz Quality Assurance System on site.
- Ensure quality requirements are followed at site according to Installation Manuals; Local contact with customer and authorities for all quality matters.
- Inspections follow-up according to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Reception of material at site with inventory database and tracking system; Perform and/or witness inspections in coordination with customer and site team; Initiate and follow-up on non-conformities; Collect quality records and elaborate final quality documentation
- Collaborate with Installation Supervisors to ensure work is performed in compliance with Installation Manuals requirements; Contribute to overall quality and excellence in execution of Engineered Machinery projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering
- Passion for Quality and integrity
- General knowledge on mechanical measurement devices
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD an asset
- Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment, an asset
- On site Safety training an asset
- Effective communication skills in French & English (oral and written)
- Self-driven, resourceful, rigorous
- Ability to analyze data
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule
