About the role
- UI/UX Designer at AnaVation focusing on user-centric interfaces. Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless user interactions and compliance in a hybrid setup.
Responsibilities
- Join a dynamic work program as an experienced User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer.
- Shape the user experience by designing user-centric, intuitive interfaces for seamless interactions in an agile environment.
- Collaborate with product owners, program managers, and software developers to translate user needs and business requirements, including Section 508 compliant solutions.
- Work in a hybrid setup with two days per week on-site in Lorton, VA, subject to change.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction or related field of study.
- Four + years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or a similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design process and front-end development skills.
- Proficiency in UI design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.)
- Experience with front-end development skills working with HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, JSON, SQL.
- Experience in collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and requirements.
- Ability to support agile development teams by providing design assets, specifications, and feedback throughout the sprint cycle.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Experience with responsive design principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
- Experience with data visualization principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
