Responsibilities
- The position is an integral part of AP Product Group that builds science and technology applications that feed the analytical engines for AP!
- Collaborate with a fun and agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our company and clients.
- The QA Engineer role is responsible for the testing phase of the production process to ensure that the software application suite meet AP’s company standards.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using test automation tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
Requirements
- Experience of working in software development teams and using software QA methodologies and tools
- Solid experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright
- Relevant experience in agile software development, scrum methodologies & tools and processes using JIRA (e.g., epics and stories)
- Excellent multitasking and time management skill to manage stakeholders and to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with performance testing will be a bonus
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum product development and support process using JIRA
