About the role

  • QA Engineer developing and executing test plans for software applications in AP Product Group. Collaborating with agile teams to ensure quality standards and meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • The position is an integral part of AP Product Group that builds science and technology applications that feed the analytical engines for AP!
  • Collaborate with a fun and agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our company and clients.
  • The QA Engineer role is responsible for the testing phase of the production process to ensure that the software application suite meet AP’s company standards.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using test automation tools.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in software development teams and using software QA methodologies and tools
  • Solid experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright
  • Relevant experience in agile software development, scrum methodologies & tools and processes using JIRA (e.g., epics and stories)
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skill to manage stakeholders and to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with performance testing will be a bonus
  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum product development and support process using JIRA
