About the role

  • Teamlead Finance managing a team responsible for accounting and payroll processes. Collaborating with external consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting from the Ahaus office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll accounting
  • Work with a three-person team
  • Ensure the accuracy of all figures in cooperation with the tax advisor
  • Perform financial accounting
  • Manage and control payroll processing
  • Introduce and further develop modern controlling instruments
  • Prepare analyses, forecasts, and reports for management
  • Point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
  • Optimize accounting processes and ensure efficient workflows
  • Lead the accounting and payroll team

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant)
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting and payroll
  • Experience in developing or using controlling/management reporting tools
  • Ideally leadership experience or willingness to lead a small team
  • Confident use of accounting software, ideally Sage 100 Financials and Sage HR
  • Experience with payment processing tools such as sFirm (Sparkasse)
  • Analytical thinking, initiative, hands-on mentality, and team orientation
