About the role
- Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) managing DoD security programs at AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Administering compliance and providing guidance on personnel security, security training, and program access.
Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
- Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions.
- Provides authoritative information and assistance to management/employees on personnel security policies and procedures.
- Track and maintain all PERSEC information to include clearance status, SAP access, security training records, personnel information files and visit certifications.
- Administer and update information on the Clients Security Databases.
- Review forms for accuracy and Process incoming Program Access Request and associated documentation.
- Develop recommendations with sufficient supporting rationale to enable the Government to decide.
- Liaison with external DoD entities on all matters pertaining to personnel security.
- Manage program quota access rosters, develop detailed reports and presentation regarding personnel access requirements.
- Conduct required security orientation, refresher training, and security briefings for assigned personnel.
- Process, track, file and report on foreign travel reported.
- Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
- Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.11. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
- 5 - 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC security related experience.
- Experience with application of ICD704 and EO 12968; and SEAD 3, 6 and 7
- Knowledgeable of DoD/DoN/IC SCI and SAP Personnel Security processes and requirements.
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
