About the role

Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, operations, and maintenance of AWS-based infrastructure for mission-critical systems
- Maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environments
- Support hybrid cloud integration, automation, and modernization initiatives
- Deploy, configure, and support AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch
- Administer and support Linux-based systems in AWS environments
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and support incident response activities
- Implement and support security controls aligned with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements
- Assist with cloud optimization activities including resource right-sizing
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 1–3 years supporting AWS environments
- Experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancing)
- Experience with Linux system administration in cloud or virtualized environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and/or configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Experience or familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds)
- Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access
