About the role

• Consultant providing IT Support to managed services clients in Data Services at Altis Consulting. Designing enhancements to client solutions and supporting between 2 to 4 clients.

Responsibilities

• Employ strong oral and written communication skills to provide first line support to managed services clients.
• Perform a broad range of work in a variety of technologies and environments, sometimes complex and non-routine.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor your own work within short time horizons with only routine direction.
• Contribute to the on-going development of the Managed Support function through mentoring.
• Designing and developing enhancements to client DW/BI solutions using best practice methodologies.
• Investigating and resolving issues.
• Manage multiple clients concurrently.
• Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken.
• Process and action appropriate and timely responses to incident report.
• Provide Support Services to between 2 and 4 clients.
• Respond to common requests for support by providing information to enable resolution and promptly escalate unresolved calls as appropriate.
• Support collation and generation of monthly client reporting.
• Work collaboratively with other teams.
• Work on a roster that will include some weekend activities.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT-related subject, or relevant work experience
• 1+ years experience working in teams to provide IT Support to clients
• 1+ years hands-on experience in ETL and BI tools such as Microsoft (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
• Report development/support using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience using cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, Matillion or other
• Basic SQL Scripting Skill
• An advantage: experience in Azure administration or development/support using Azure functions.
• Able to work as part of on-call rotation
