About the role
- Geologist/Engineer as Project Manager handling geotechnical projects at WESSLING Consulting Engineering. Collaborating with clients and managing laboratory and drilling work in construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage client projects in the area of ground conditions / geotechnical engineering (preparation and production of expert opinions and geotechnical reports, foundation engineering calculations/recommendations, excavation acceptances, geotechnical construction supervision)
- Plan and develop investigation concepts and oversee their implementation
- Contribute to business development, negotiations and coordination with our clients, project partners and authorities
- Act as the interface with specialist planners and advise clients and construction managers
- Manage subcontractors for laboratory and drilling work on your projects
Requirements
- University degree in civil engineering, geology, geosciences, environmental engineering or comparable qualification
- Ideally professional/practical experience in the mentioned fields
- Basic knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in the field
- Interest in a mix of site-based and office work
- Structured working approach, a high degree of initiative and strong communication skills for client support
- Enjoys learning new topics and working in a team
- German language skills: at least C1 level in spoken and written German (proficient for social and professional use)
- Willingness to travel locally and possession of a valid driver’s license (class B)
