Responsibilities
Design and implement applications following 12-factor principles, owning the full stack of software products—from front-end experiences to backend services.
Leverage test-driven development, continuous integration, and modern engineering practices to ensure agility, scalability, and quality.
Actively influence architectural decisions, ensuring that the simplest, most effective technology choices meet user needs and align with enterprise standards.
Work on AppFabric Frameworks, which empower development teams to align with Allstate’s Target State Architecture (TSA).
Contribute to capabilities that automate code updates, migrations, vulnerability detection, and pull request generation.
Help teams continuously evolve their software ecosystems by reducing technical debt.
Implement feature toggle systems for controlled rollouts, rollbacks, and experimentation.
Drive initiatives that allow enterprise-wide teams to innovate faster, personalize user experiences, and maintain operational excellence through standardization and reuse.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, React JS
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Jasmine
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with distributed systems, operating systems, networking, databases, security, and analytics
Experience in Cloud Computing Environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
1+ years’ experience designing and developing frameworks/libraries/reusable components
1+ years’ experience using GitHub and Jenkins
