About the role
- Senior Consultant II designing and implementing full stack applications for Allstate. Influencing architectural decisions and driving innovation through defined frameworks and modern practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement applications following 12-factor principles, owning the full stack of software products—from front-end experiences to backend services.
- Leverage test-driven development, continuous integration, and modern engineering practices to ensure agility, scalability, and quality.
- Actively influence architectural decisions, ensuring that the simplest, most effective technology choices meet user needs and align with enterprise standards.
- Work on AppFabric Frameworks, which empower development teams to align with Allstate’s Target State Architecture (TSA).
- Contribute to capabilities that automate code updates, migrations, vulnerability detection, and pull request generation.
- Help teams continuously evolve their software ecosystems by reducing technical debt.
- Implement feature toggle systems for controlled rollouts, rollbacks, and experimentation.
- Drive initiatives that allow enterprise-wide teams to innovate faster, personalize user experiences, and maintain operational excellence through standardization and reuse.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, React JS
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Jasmine
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with distributed systems, operating systems, networking, databases, security, and analytics
- Experience in Cloud Computing Environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- 1+ years’ experience designing and developing frameworks/libraries/reusable components
- 1+ years’ experience using GitHub and Jenkins
