About the role

  • Accountant with Excel and VBA skills required for financial data processing at Alloheim in Düsseldorf. Work includes various accounting tasks and team collaboration on system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Processing accounting and financial data originating from various programs/systems (e.g., ERP systems, third-party software, Excel spreadsheets) following successful technical integration.
  • Data mapping: Creating data mappings in line with group policies to harmonize data formats, charts of accounts, and structural elements.
  • Accounting tasks: Performing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed-asset accounting in accordance with group policies and accounting standards (e.g., German Commercial Code (HGB) and, if applicable, IFRS).
  • Handover and support of the integrated accounting units to operational departments: Ensuring that these teams understand the processes and apply them correctly.
  • Process optimization: Identifying and implementing bookkeeping best practices to improve efficiency, transparency, and quality.
  • Automation & reporting: Creating and maintaining Excel analyses, reports, and tools; developing and deploying VBA macros to automate recurring tasks and prepare data.
  • Collaboration: Close cooperation with the FRW team (Finance & Accounting), IT / SAP / systems engineering, and the business departments to clarify and implement requirements.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a certified balance-sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with experience in group/corporate structures.
  • Experience with data transfers/integration from various accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of charts of accounts, company codes/posting areas, and accounting policies.
  • Advanced Excel skills; confident use of VBA for automation, data preparation, and reporting.
  • Analytical skills, high precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to capture complex technical requirements and translate them into accounting processes.
