About the role

• Managing electronic revision files and versions of manuals for FAA compliance. Collaborating across teams in the Publications department to streamline processes and maintain file integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and streamline the processes surrounding the distribution and maintenance of electronic revision files and complete electronic versions of manuals.
• Serve as the interface between tech writing and other publications personnel to ensure proper preparation, integrity, and file maintenance.
• Create and maintain an efficient file folder structure.
• Audit all LOEPs against manual pages prior to FAA submission.
• Perform consistent and thorough proofreading of electronic documents.
• Update and manage distribution process and reports in database(s).
• Maintain and distribute documents for CD Binders.
• Conversion of Arbortext publications to correct color/B&W printing as needed; perform quality assurance.
• Audit and maintain bookmarking of electronic publications.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Publications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum one (1) year experience in related position.
• Computer literate with specific emphasis on publishing and Microsoft Office software.
• Data entry and file management abilities required with strong qualities in organization and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, PageMaker, Arbortext, HTML, Word, and Access database highly desirable.
• Have the ability to audit, edit, and maintain electronically published files and data.
• Willing to work occasional weekends.
