About the role

• Senior Generative AI Engineer working on AI solutions and data platforms in Switzerland. Leading technical projects and ensuring quality in generative AI and cloud technologies implementation.

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for the conception, development and continuous improvement of demonstrators and technical solution approaches in the context of Generative AI, Data Science and cloud technologies
• Advising and supporting our clients in defining and implementing sustainable data, AI and Generative AI solutions — from architecture and technical steering to production deployment
• Developing and optimizing modern data architectures and data warehouses based on current cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS)
• Quality assurance in projects — particularly in the areas of prompt engineering, data science and model validation
• Leading or technically contributing to projects with a focus on architecture planning, implementation of AI workflows and operation of both local and cloud-based foundation models
• Designing and delivering internal training and actively sharing knowledge within the team to strengthen technical expertise in Generative AI and data platforms
• Continuous research and experimentation with new tools, APIs (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace, Aleph Alpha) and technologies in the fields of Conversational AI, NLP, Stable Diffusion, transformer models and more
• Active participation in conferences and community events and presentation of technical innovations through talks, publications or showcases
• Supporting sales and marketing through technical pitches, architecture sketches and technical argumentation during client acquisition
• Actively contributing to the expansion of our Swiss team and collaborating with management and sales on the further development of our location

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a comparable scientific/technical discipline
• At least 3 years of professional experience in implementing data platforms, data warehousing or AI solutions — ideally in client projects or a consulting environment
• Strong communication skills in German, Swiss German and English
• Practical experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks as well as solid knowledge in applying foundation models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Claude) and their fine-tuning
• Very good knowledge of Python (object-oriented), ideally also with Spark, and confident handling of open-source libraries (e.g., HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain)
• Experience with APIs such as OpenAI, Aleph Alpha, HuggingFace and fundamentals in text-processing models, probabilistic modeling, NLP, Conversational AI and Stable Diffusion
• Solid knowledge of modern cloud technologies, particularly Azure or AWS, as well as infrastructure and deployment processes (e.g., CI/CD, containers, MLOps)
• Ideally experience operating local open-source models, on hardware accelerators or with physical computing
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in interacting with clients, colleagues and the community
• Proactive, solution-oriented working style and willingness to take responsibility and to travel occasionally as part of consulting work
