About the role

  • Data Visualization Engineer focused on Visual Analytics, working with global data and creating dashboards. Collaborating with various teams in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to demanding data and visual analytics projects under agile SCRUM project management across all project phases
  • Take responsibility for collecting, integrating and analyzing global data from various systems and heterogeneous data sources
  • Identify relevant patterns, relationships and trends in data to generate well-founded insights and support decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness and quality, and establish sustainable, repeatable analysis and reporting processes
  • Independently analyze business questions, define challenges and develop appropriate, client-oriented solution concepts
  • Design and implement visualizations and dashboards following established best practices and modern visual analytics methods
  • Develop bespoke, interactive visualizations and scalable analytics applications
  • Design intuitive visual user interfaces and support UI development to enable optimal user interaction with the data
  • Provide subject-matter support to all business units — including business units and interdisciplinary skill teams — in the area of visual analytics

Requirements

  • University degree in a quantitative or analytically oriented field (e.g., Business Informatics, Data Science) or an equivalent qualification
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • At least 3 years of professional experience designing, implementing and optimizing interactive dashboards and reports with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear, meaningful KPIs and storytelling dashboards
  • Confident use of DAX, Power Query (M) and relational data models
  • Solid knowledge of data preparation, modeling and performance optimization
  • Routine experience working with SQL databases and connecting heterogeneous data sources
  • High quality awareness, analytical thinking and a strong sense for usability and visual design
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach, combined with a pragmatic mindset
